This project was created as part of a Print and Resistance class that required me to make a promotional poster for an activist of my choosing. Right around the start of this project, I had just finished reading Eli Claire's book Brilliant Imperfections for my Crip Theory class. I would describe Eli Clare as a disability activist. He uses science, poetry, and cultural theory to weave together stories that tell the truth about what it’s like to live in a world that isn’t built for you. His emphasis on the importance of disability pride in the efforts against ableism really inspires me.
